Happy Photo Friday! I’m eager to share my photos with you today — I’ve got a lot of fun ones this week. It was my birthday week, after all.
The photo above was taken February 12 at Charcoal BBQ in Silver Lake. I ordered the pulled pork, and it was by far some of the best I’ve tried in Los Angeles. Good barbecue is hard to find in LA, so that’s saying something.
February 13 — Eric bought me an ice-cream maker attachment for my KitchenAid mixer, and naturally we had to try it out right away. I’ll be whipping up more batches to share on the blog as the temperatures get warmer!
February 14 — This is me continuing my yearly tradition of making Valentine’s Day brunch. It’s a Dutch Baby covered with powdered sugar, blueberries, and maple syrup. Perfection.
February 15 — President’s Day meant a three-day weekend. To celebrate an extra day off work, we grabbed lunch at the Wooden Fork. They’d added a few new menu items since our last visit, like this Moroccan Chicken Bowl, which was divine.
February 16 — Did you know that Los Angeles has it’s own branch of New York’s famous Magnolia Bakery? I didn’t either until my coworkers brought in these birthday cupcakes on Tuesday! So delicious; they brought me right back to my semester in New York City.
February 17 — Today it rained! When I saw the forecast, I thought it would only rain for a few minutes, but it began raining in the early afternoon and continued until the following morning. It’s always nice to get a little rain here in LA. It doesn’t happen often.
February 18 — I’ve been practicing my guitar again. It’s been a while, so my fingers are pretty sore. So I took this picture while giving my fingers a rest.
Which photo is your favorite? Are you working on a photo project of your own? If so, leave a comment with a link; I’m always eager to check out other bloggers’ photo projects.
