Another week, another Photo Friday!
Work has been keeping me extremely busy (I’m sure you’ve all noticed the lack of regular posts going up over here), so I’ve decided to delay these weekly photo round-ups by a week. If you can’t bear to wait that long, you can follow me on Instagram and Flickr, where I’m posting these with (a bit) more regularity.
The above photo comes from February 6, at my favorite brunch spot in the heart of Atwater Village. Eric and I make a weekly visit for their delicious Bloody Marys!
February 5 — The beginnings of a soup I made for dinner. This is not a great photo, but it was a delicious soup.
February 7 — A close-up of my cat, Cookies. She didn’t want her photo taken and kept squirming, hence the annoyed look on her face. This was the only shot I managed to get in focus.
February 8 — My burrito bowl from Hugo’s Tacos. This photo is a disgrace.
February 9 — A few weeks ago we experienced some heavy rains in Los Angeles and the owners of my apartment complex discovered how slippery these stairs are.
February 10 — This is what happens when you’re about to fall asleep and realize you haven’t taken a photo yet for your 366 project. You consider forgetting about it, but then remember that you’re just over a month in. Do you really want to give up so easily? Surely there’s something within reach that you can take a photo of without lifting your head from your pillow. And voilá.
February 11 — This photo was a breaking point for me in this project so far. It’s an awful photo. Look at it. That is perfectly tasty food and it looks disgusting. As a food blogger, I’m frankly embarrassed to post it here. But it’s the only photo I took on February 11 and so here it is in all its awfulness. My new goal is to not post anything that looks remotely like this for the remainder of this project.
That was fun, wasn’t it? I admit that this week was not very impressive. As it turns out, taking a photo every day while working a full-time job is challenging. But I’m not ready to give up yet. Let’s see if I can do better next time…
