You’re probably here because you want to know what this blog is all about. Who is this quiet girl, how noisy is the city, and why should you read anything she writes?
The quiet girl is me, Erika Robbins. I’m a shy extrovert who adores exploring the world with my husband Eric, playfully tormenting my chubby cat Cookies, creating lovely pictures with my camera, challenging myself to try new things, and enjoying any and all flavors of delicious food.
The noisy city is Los Angeles, the place I call home. By day, I work in the exciting world of film and television post production. By night, I explore the city’s growing culinary culture. But not every night. Most nights I sit at home and watch Netflix.
I first started this blog as an outlet to share my growing love for Los Angeles, a city with many faces. But over the past three years of blogging, I’ve come to realize that what I actually love writing about is food.
So that’s what this blog is becoming: a place where I write about the food I make in my kitchen, the food I eat around Los Angeles, the food I eat on my travels, and the adventures in between. Thanks for joining me on my journey!
Want to know more about me? These posts will provide a bit more insight:
I Got Married! and Other News, in which I talk a bit about my personal life.
40 New Adventures, in which I attempt 40 new life adventures before I turn 40.
My Reverse Bucket List, in which I share a list of all the awesome things I’ve done in my life so far.
The 30 Before 30 Challenge, in which I reflect on my 30 before 30 project, completed in 2015.
But if you’re more interested in my favorite recipe posts, I would recommend these Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcakes, this One-Pot Irish Breakfast Skillet, or these Banana Walnut Cinnamon Swirl Muffins.
