I used to enjoy browsing the beautiful photography on Flickr and discovering new photographers. Over the past several years, a lot of the community seems to be leaving Flickr, and it’s not quite as exciting as it once was. Here’s where Instagram comes in.
When I first started using Instagram, I posted rarely, not worrying much about the quality of my photos. I only followed people I knew in real life.
Then I began discovering the Instagram accounts of some of my former Flickr favorites. Through them, I discovered new photographers. I became addicted to scrolling through the stunning feeds of these talented people. Instagram began to fill the void that I had lost with Flickr.
I’ve talked about my love for landscape photography in the past. Today I’d like to share with you three of my newest favorite landscape photographers on Instagram. I hope you enjoy these and find some new photographers to admire!
Morgan Phillips is a Los Angeles-based landscape photographer hailing from Birmingham, Alabama. I enjoy the vintage tones in his photography and his gorgeous winter landscapes.
Scott Bakken‘s photos are beautifully framed and balanced. Many of them feature human subjects or wildlife in impressive natural environments.
Brendan Leong boasts a collection of magnificently detailed landscapes. He’s Canadian, and thus photographs the natural beauty of the Canadian landscape.
