While I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of outdoor activities and new experiences I met on my vacation to Breckenridge earlier this year, there is one thing I will miss most: Park & Main.
Located practically right next door to our vacation home, Park & Main is a small, trendy restaurant serving a variety of American and international fare in the form of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate there no less than five times during our trip. It was that good.
We discovered the restaurant on our first morning in Breckenridge. My cousin had dined there the evening before and gave it a glowing recommendation when we expressed a want to head into town for breakfast. So we decided to try it.
While we were skiing, we walked to Park & Main every day for lunch. It wasn’t too far to walk from the slopes, but was far enough that the prices were still reasonable. Dining on or near the mountain meant sky-high food prices and lower quality food. We opted for the short walk to enjoy a better meal and a smaller impact on our wallets.
The lunch menu is primarily made up of a variety of sandwiches. During our multiple visits, we tried several: the Vietnamese Banh Mi, the Cuban, the Chicken Shawarma, and the Muffaletta. We also tried the tomato basil soup and the sweet potato chili. Everything was excellent, though the Banh Mi was by far my favorite.
We were sad to say goodbye to Park & Main at the end of our time in Breckenridge. They provided us with many delicious meals and good times during our trip. If I ever return to Breckenridge (which I hope to do), you can bet I’ll be back at Park & Main.
