Amazon selling sun cream that claims to ‘burn fat’ while you tan

THERE is now a sun cream available from Amazon that says it can “burn fat” AND help you tan, with or without the sun.

As with all things, if it sounds too good to be true then it most likely is. However, before we write it off as another fad, it’s worth taking at to see if any of the claims could be true.

Us Brits go crazy for the sun, probably because we see it very rarely, so when it does come out, we can’t resist stripping off for some much-needed vitamin D.

But with cases of skin cancer on the rise, properly protecting our skin from harmful rays has never been more important.

Sunshapers sun cream says it is a “game-changer” for sun care, as it combines protection with a highly effective thermogenic fat burner to support weight loss and fitness goals.

The Prebiotic Protection Sun Cream by Sunshapers is a snip at just £9.99 and claims to not only protect from UVA and UVB rays, but also “burn fat and reduce the appearance of cellulite while inhibiting the growth of new fat cells, including stubborn belly fat”.

And that’s not it, the product is also a tan accelerator, which means it's supposed to stimulate the skin's melanin to give you a faster and deeper tan – with or without the sun.

There is a legal disclaimer, which says: "Sunshapers contains active natural ingredients proven to shrink fat cells and burn cellulite. Individual results cannot be guaranteed."

While nothing is going to beat eating a healthy diet, exercising and drinking lots of water, the process of massaging a cream into your skin will help stimulate blood flow and over time may help decrease the look and feel of cellulite.
