TANNING – it can either go amazingly or terribly wrong.
Sadly, things went really wrong when one hopeful woman tried a new tanning product and it left looking like she worked in a coal mine.
Social media influencer Heather Kuntz took to TikTok to show the terrifying results after she applied a brand new product, which promised her a bronzed look in just one hour.
"Warning, this might be terrifying for small children, but it's too good to not share with the world," she began in her video while remaining out of the shot.
"I bought a one-hour tanning product and mind you, I still have to rinse it still but this is what it looks like five minutes in."
She then popped into the show with the product all over her face, neck, and entire body.
The tan looked blotchy and too dark for her skin color.
"Definitely not my color. I look like I've been working in the coal mines my entire life.
"I feel like I have to ride it out now but who knows, maybe it looks amazing."
In a second video, she admitted "it wasn't getting any better" after 15 minutes and even compared herself to Ross in the Friends episode where he got a spray tan.

"I think I failed to mention I have an event in like three hours, but silver lining, it's at a cigar bar and I feel like those are always dark."
After washing it off, Kuntz did not get the tan she wanted.
In fact, she said "freaking nothing" happened and that it was a waste of her time.
"I rate it a zero out of 10."
Kuntz never actually revealed what was the product she used, but also failed to realize that express tans take anywhere between 12 to 24 hours to develop.
