When Fenty Skin launched earlier this year, skincare fanatics wondered why a night cream wasn’t included with the toner, cleanser, and SPF moisturizer. It wasn’t because Rihanna thought you needed to wear sunscreen at night (though you do you!)—it’s just that her perfect formula wasn’t ready yet. “Y’all thought I was gonna leave you without a night cream?!,” wrote Rihanna wrote in an Instagram caption announcing the launch of Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream. Out today, the new nighttime formula is the perfect lightweight but ultra-hydrating cream to make your skin look perky and fresh.

Y’all thought I was gonna leave you without a night cream?! @fentyskin #INSTANTRESET Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream is on the way! I took my time with this one, use it after #TOTALCLEANSR and #FATWATER at night and wake up with refreshed, nourished, juicy skin. 🧖🏿♀️ Launching on fentyskin.com October 20th. Made with: ✔️Kalahari Melon Oil: deeply hydrates, rich in antioxidants and vitamins ✔️ Hyaluronic Acid & Aloe: soothes, conditions, hydrates ✔️Niacinimide: Helps reduce the look of dark spots, even skin tone, + fight shine ✔ Baobab: An African tree that bears nutrient-rich superfruit; deeply hydrating
Rihanna continues: “When you’re sleeping your body’s in recovery mode and I wanted to maximize that for the skin. I wanted a night cream that would reset my skin and relieve it from all the stress of the day so you wake up fresh, nourished, and glowing.”
Instant Reset was designed to be used after the Fenty Skin cleanser and Fat Water toner-serum hybrid. Key ingredients include Kalahari melon oil, hyaluronic acid, aloe, niacinimide, and baobab (an African tree that bears a hydrating superfruit). All together, these ingredients work to plump, hydrate, soothe, and brighten—exactly what you want in a nighttime moisturizer. The formula is cruelty-free, vegan, non-comedogenic, and gluten-free. Like the other products in the line, there is a fruity-floral fragrance in this formula if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing.
Perhaps the coolest part of the Instant Reset night cream is the packaging. The included scoop means you won’t have to put your fingers—or nails—in the jar. That makes the formula more sterile and also means you won’t mess up your fingernails (the brand even call the cream long-nail friendly). The jar is both refillable and recyclable, meaning you can purchase a pop-in replacement cream pod when you’ve hit the bottom. The whole jar is $40, while the replacement pods are $36—saving your $4 on every purchase. The outer packaging is recyclable as well.
The Fenty Skin Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream is available now for $40 on FentySkin.com. SHOP
