Taking to her stories, Charley commented: “Yesterday, was not the day for me. At all. You guys were making me laugh so much with your messages about homeschooling.

“Today has been a lot less stressful. I think I’ve taken the pressure off a little bit. I’m not one of those mums that’s like, ‘You have to do this!’

The Emmerdale actress revealed her son, Bowie, refused to do his schoolwork and the TV star didn’t want to force him to do it.

“Bowie had his Zoom and then he had a little bit of work to do and he didn’t want to do it. He said, ‘Nope,’ Charley explained.

“I said, ‘Alright. No problem. Don’t do it.’ I’m not having those battles. I just can’t.”

She revealed her eldest son is keener to do his schoolwork at home.

Charley said: “Buster is a different story. He really does need to do it. But the pressure…”

“And it’s not just the homeschooling it’s everything. Some days I just feel like I’m sinking a little bit.”
