Countryfile presenter and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Helen Skelton, 36, has shared a video on Instagram to detail a moment which left her in tears while out shopping today. She told her fans she had cried during her trip after a shop worker told her how much they are missing their grandchildren during the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking from her car, The presenter told fans: “If you are lucky enough to have good grandparents in your children’s life, please do me a favour and just tell them that you appreciate them.
“I just had a little… is it normal to cry when you’re getting your supermarket groceries? Probably not, but at the minute yeah.
“The lady behind the counter was telling me how much she misses her grandchildren and how they often normally stay at her house and how obviously none of that is happening.
“I am so lucky that my kids have got good grandparents and I hope they know much I value and appreciate them.”

The host went on to urge her fans to tell their grandparents how much they appreciate them.
She added: “If you have good grandparents in your life, please tell them you appreciate them because grandparents are struggling.”
The mother-of-two also briefly touched on her experience on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, following last night’s episode.
Viewers saw the celebrities continuing to be put through their paces by Ant Middleton and his team.
Reflecting on show, she went on to say: “If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I’m a softie.
“SAS Who Dare Wins, I was too soft for my own good sometimes,” she added before swiftly moving on.
The Channel 4 show sees Ant and special forces soldiers put Helen and her fellow celebrities through a recreation of the SAS selection process.
As well as boxing, celebrities have also been faced with challenges such as jumping from a helicopter into a lake.

“It’s so weird having to fight someone you like, I didn’t want to hit her, then she hit me once and I was like, ‘OK!’”
Expressing her fears about a particular moment, she added to The Sun: “I remember we were carrying these ridiculously heavy backpacks up a hill and Ant was screaming at us that there would be a consequence if we didn’t get up the hill.
“That really weighed heavily on me. I was constantly thinking that if I get injured then it could impact my kids.”
