Holly Willoughby, 40, was thrilled when she was offered a cameo role on one of her favourite television shows, Midsomer Murders. However, the presenter has now revealed not everything went to plan when it came to filming her appearance.
Holly was speaking about how it went on This Morning earlier today.
The presenter was chatting about what was happening on the soaps this week with Sharon Marshall and Phillip Schofield.
She was then asked by Phil how her own experience on a television show went when she made the admission.
Holly revealed: “Well, you know, I wasn’t take one, put it that way.
“Or take two or take 10. By about take 25 I finally got the words out. But it’s fine!”
She was then prodded by Phil who asked: “Did you actually have a lot to say?”
Holly replied: “One line. I had a few scenes. But one line, I couldn’t get it out.”
Her admission sent Phil off in hysterics as he wondered whether she’ll be coming back for another role.
He said: “They must love you then.
“Do you think you’ll be invited back?”
Holly then confided how she doesn’t think so in the hilarious moment.
Co-host Sharon joked she might be asked to return to play a corpse on the show.
Holly was invited to take part in the show earlier this year by its stars Neil Dudgeon and Nick Hendrix.
This came after she made no secret of how much she loved the show in the past.
Holly then shared with her Instagram followers that she was invited to the set at the end of May.
Sharing a video of her with a clapperboard, she penned: “Today is the day… @officialmidsomer … excitement levels off the chart!”
Elsewhere, Holly has been sharing her love for her co-presenter on social media.
Posting a picture of them together, she called Phil her “best friend.”
In view of 7.2 million followers, she penned: “Dear best friend… I love working with you… @thismorning #thismorning.”
She and Phil have been working together on This Morning since 2009 when she took over from Fern Britton.
