James Jordan’s ‘hero’ father rushed to hospital after stroke
James Jordan has revealed his beloved father has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke and seizures.
The Dancing On Ice star shared the concerning news with his Twitter followers on Thursday evening (12 March), revealing his father was taken to hospital earlier that morning.
In a tweet, the 41-year-old revealed: ‘Hi guys I’ve been in hospital since 7.30 this morning where my hero and dad was rushed in after having a stroke and seizures.
‘Sitting with him now and I’m asking if you could all say a little prayer for him.
‘I’m not ready to lose him!’
James’ wife Ola commented under the tweet with several heart emojis.
Ola, 37, announced the news with a photo of her holding their daughter’s tiny little hand, with the caption: ‘She’s here and she is perfect. #mummy.’
James then shared a photo of the newborn’s feet and said: ‘I’m the happiest man in the world.’
Prior to their baby girl’s arrival, James and Ola had been open about their fertility struggles and revealed they conceived their daughter through IVF last June.
Speaking to Hello!, Ola said: ‘When we had the scan it was funny because the baby was dancing. I’m not sure if it was a cha-cha or a jive, but it was definitely dancing.’
James added: ‘We’ve been with each other for 20 years, married for 16, travelled the world, achieved amazing things in our careers: trophies, accolades, Ola won Strictly Come Dancing, I won Dancing On Ice.
‘But finding out that we are pregnant is no doubt our biggest achievement ever. This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us.’
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola continued: ‘James is also desperate to have babies and I just wish it could have happened by now. That’s the one gift I would love to give him.
‘I guess I just thought, like most women, that I could choose when the time was right for me; that I could have my career and then have a baby when it felt right. But for us it just hasn’t happened like that.’
The married couple first appeared on Strictly in 2006. James left the dance competition in 2013 – and went on to win Dancing on Ice in 2018 – while Polish dancer Ola followed two years later.
