Liam Payne has declared his 'love' to his ex-fiancée Maya Henry in a series of cryptic Instagram posts in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The former One Direction star revealed that they had split last month, but it appears that the heartthrob is now kicking himself for "letting go" of the stunning model.
In one Instagram post, the 27 year old wrote: "Don't let someone go if you really want to love them even if you have to learn to love them through your own mistakes let your instinct tell you that you need them and keep them close we are always running out of time we never gain it. (sic)."
After writing: "F**k Me I'm Wise" in the next post, he then tagged the 21 year old and wrote: "I love you, we calm."
Liam confirmed his split from Maya last month, explaining he needed to "sort himself out" after realising he's "not very good at relationships".
He opened up about the split on Steven Bartlett's podcast Diary of a CEO, where he needed to "work on himself" as he's discovered he's "not very good at relationships".
Entrepreneur Steven couldn't help but ask about Liam's love life after he accidentally let slip the words "former partner in lockdown" during their conversation.
"I am indeed [single]," Liam told the Social Chain founder. "I feel like more than anything at this point, I'm more disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people.
"That annoys me. I've just not been very good at relationships. And I know what my pattern of things is with relationships at this point. I'm just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else."
Liam continued: "That's where I got to in my last relationship. I just wasn't giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn't appreciate and I didn't like being," before admitting: "I can honestly say I feel better out of it.
"I know what was the problem, I just need to sort myself out. I just hope she's happy."
The singer was said to have proposed to Maya in summer 2020, with the news being announced in August as she donned a dazzling £3 million ring.
Maya was a fan of Liam's long before they became a couple as she first met him at a meet and greet after a 1D concert in 2015.
However, they reportedly reconnected at a Dolce & Gabbana gala dinner in Tremezzo, Lake Como, in 2019.
Strip That Down hitmaker Liam split from Girls Aloud singer Cheryl in July 2018, but they have maintained a good relationship for the sake of their four year old son, Bear.
