Max George and girlfriend Stacey Giggs ‘shaken’ by hotel burglary

Max George was left shaken following a dramatic night that saw the hotel room he was sharing with girlfriend Stacey Giggs burgled after they were confronted by aggressive members of the public.

The 31-year-old singer – who was a member of chart topping boyband The Wanted between 2009 and 2014 – was performing in his native Manchester on Friday when the night took a dramatic turn.

The Glad You Came star was hosting a performance for a handful of fans at the 4 star Abode hotel as the weekend kicked off – with 40-year-old girlfriend Stacy in tow.

But the night went from bad to worse for the couple when they were abused by a thug at the performance venue – and then discovered their hotel room had been ransacked, according to The Sun on Sunday.

“Max was shaken and went straight up to his room, where he found out he’d been broken in to,” a source told the publication – detailing how Max reacted when the thug “bad-mouthed” Stacey.

“His girlfriend Stacey also had her stuff stolen – there were tablets, money and his Rolex,” the source claims.

The Sun also quote Greater Manchester Police stating: “Police were called to a report of a burglary at a hotel on Piccadilly, Manchester shortly before 12.15pm on Saturday 29 February 2020.”

The police add that a man had been arrested and that enquiries are ongoing.

Max and Stacey have been dating since 2019 – with the pair falling for each other after Stacey split from cheating ex-husband Ryan Giggs, 46, in 2017.

In an interview with Closer magazine last year, Max revealed he hopes to settle down with Stacey.

“I've always wanted to get married, and I love kids,” he told the publication.

“I wouldn't be with her if I didn't see a future. I don't want to jinx it, but I can really see myself ending up with Stace,” he added.

The singer is also believed to have bonded with Stacey's children from her former marriage to Ryan – 16-year-old daughter Liberty and 13-year-old son Zach.
