Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli is “worried” about his future as a judge on the show, reports claim.

The 65 year old has been unable to appear on this year’s BBC series due to travel restrictions. He is currently in the USA judging on Dancing With The Stars.

Throughout the series, professional dancer Anton Du Beke stepped in as a temporary judge after Motsi Mabuse was forced to self isolate after she was forced to take a last-minute trip to Germany.

Anton, 54, wowed Strictly viewers as a temporary judge, with some calling for him to permanently take up the role.

And, it’s now been reported this has sparked Bruno to feel concerned about his future as judge on Strictly.

A source has told The Sun On Sunday: “Bruno feels a bit out of the loop with the UK show and even though he hasn’t been able to film it this year, it’s really important to him.

“He has told pals he is worried about viewers preferring Anton and forgetting about him.”

Meanwhile, Anton has said he feels too old to compete as a professional dancer on the show.

He said: “As as I’ve gotten older I don’t compete anymore I don’t like to compete now, funnily enough.

“I’ve been down that road and I’m past that. But I still want to be fabulous, so I’m really competitive with myself.

“But I have this anxiety now I never used to have, maybe it’s because I’ve had children.

“I really hate, more than anything else and it makes me ill, if I’ve upset somebody.”

It comes after Strictly fans called on Anton to become at the fourth judge for the rest of the series.

One wrote: “I think he would make a great 4th judge. Bruno and Motsi together is too much shouting. Anton is like having a younger Len back x”.

While another said: “There’s usually four judges on Strictly, so where’s Anton? He’s earned his place on the panel. Bring him back as the fourth judge#Strictly”.

And a third added: “Can we please have Anton back on the judging panel. He's such a great judge. The public truly value what he has to say. Please!”

Another urged: “We need anton as the fourth judge. Better still, we need him as a permanent judge”.

As a fifth said: “I vote for an extra judge. Come on BBC give us the Anton judge We deserve it #Strictly”.
