Taylor Swift has earned her first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Albums chart as her latest album, Folklore, debuted atop the list. At the same time, “Cardigan” topped the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
The album debuted with 846,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Of that sum, 615,000 units are via album sales.
Folklore also simultaneously rules the all-genre Billboard 200, becoming Swift’s seventh No. 1 on the chart.
“Cardigan” rules the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart with 34 million U.S. streams and 71,000 digital downloads in the week ending July 30. Meanwhile, 11 songs from Folklore have earned a place on the revamped Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
“Cardigan” also debuted atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
