TOWIE star Mick Norcross laid to rest in private funeral as son Mason pays heartbreaking tribute

Mick Norcross has been laid to rest in a small ceremony attended by close friends and family.

The former TOWIE star was found dead in the basement of his home in Bulphan, Essex, on 21 January after sending an emotional final message on Twitter.

More than a month after his untimely death, his nearest and dearest were able to say their goodbyes, including daughter Hollie as well as his three sons Kirk, Daniel and Mason.

Taking to his Instagram, 19 year old Mason shared a series of photos of his dad to pay tribute to him after his passing. One snap sees Mick looking very dapper in a grey suit as he stands next to his two sons.

Another shows Mick splashing around in a pool as he carries a very-young Mason in his arms. A third shows the reality star looking in his element as he carries a massive basket full of vegetables.

Two others see the doting dad spending quality time with his young son while a final picture shows Mick wearing a black suit with a pair of matching black shades as he smiles for the camera.

In the caption, Mason wrote: "To my dad today is the day we put you to rest. I am truly lost for words you was my everything I am so grateful for everything you done for all of us you was the best dad a boy could ever ask for ! [sic]

"You was such a strong man there was so many things I wanted to say to you. I didn’t ever think this day would come that I would have to write this."

Mason went on to recount how thoughtful his dad was as he "always" checked in on him no matter what kind of day he had himself.

He continued: "Ever since I left school you always wanted me in work and I tried my best everyday to go because I know i would be expecting a phone call, you would always check on me everyday no matter how bad your day was, you would keep it strong and I am so happy for that. [sic]

"I will try so hard for you dad and I will look after mum and Hollie forever like you always told me to. Thankyou for teaching me everything you did . [sic]

"Ther will not be a day that goes by where I won’t think about you you have took a part from me that I will never get back, you was one special man and loved by so many. I wish I could thank you for everything you done for me you gave me the best 19 years a boy could ever ask for". [sic]

Mason added: "I will love you forever dad until we meet again," followed by a red heart emoji.

Many of his fans were quick to reply to the touching post as one person wrote: "Bless you darling, your dad will always be right beside you," with a crying emoji, two red heart emojis and two broken heart emojis.

Another said: "Lovely words for your old man mate, sending love," followed by a blue heart emoji.

While a third added: "Sending you and your family so much love light and strength," with a red heart emoji.
