“Bachelorette” star Tyler Cameron and his brothers, Austin and Ryan Cameron, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for charity in honor of their late mother.
Andrea Hermann Cameron died unexpectedly on Feb. 29 of a brain aneurysm at age 55.
In a joint statement on the crowdfunding site, the family said, “In the wake of this tragic event, we feel compelled to honor our mother. We are developing a charitable foundation so that she can continue to impact others as she has always done; we feel this is the best way to continue her legacy of giving.”
In December, Andrea shared a picture of herself on her way to donate gifts for the holidays.
“Visiting Retirement homes in NY and delivering presents and some cheer,” she captioned the pic. “Vassar College students Flowers and the Frankie Flowers Christmas charity group….”
The Camerons’ GoFundMe account was created on Thursday and set a fundraising goal of $10,000. As of Friday, they have nearly reached their goal with $7,065 raised.
“In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the GoFundMe account so we can begin our quest of serving others like she had her entire life,” the family’s statement continued. “Thank you for all of the support and love the community has poured down on us. We are forever grateful.”
Earlier this week, Tyler, 27, paid tribute to his mother on Instagram, writing, “Today heaven gained an angel. We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on.”
