ARSENAL CHASE VILLA WINGER
Arsenal are considering a move for Aston Villa youngster Jaden Philogene-Bidace but face competition from Manchester City.
According to Football Insider, Mikel Arteta is keen to bring the 17-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, to the Emirates.
Ajax and Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the winger.
Philogene-Bidace has scored six goals and assisted 10 in the Under-18 Premier League this season.
Chelsea midfielder Willian has still yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea, and may leave for free this summer.
And according to reports, Arsenal are interested in the Brazilian star.
Le10sport claim Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United are also in the running for the fan favourite.
Intriguingly, he is represented by Sports Invest UK – a company run by Kia Joorabchian, who is a close pal of Arsenal's technical director Edu.
Sports Invest UK clients David Luiz and Cedric Soares have ended up at Arsenal, and the report suggests Willian could be next.
The Gunners are also reportedly ready to meet Man City's transfer demands for John Stones, according to a new report.
TEAMtalk claim that the Premier League champions want to recoup the £50m transfer outlay they paid Everton for the England centre-half.
Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham and Stones’ former side Everton have also been listed as registering an interest in the centre-back.
Arteta knows the 25-year-old well from his time as Pep Guardiola’s No 2 at City, but the move would prove a major U-turn for the Spaniard.
Back in January, Arteta told TalkSport: “John is a player I really liked and we followed him before we signed him when I was at City and I worked with him for many years and know him well.
“Obviously when I look at centre-backs he’s got many attributes I like from one, but we are not interested in him.”
And Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given Arsenal fans hope over a new deal, saying he's “happy” in north London.
“I love the fans here and when I was younger I used to watch Arsenal because they had always great players, and yeah they won trophies as well,” he told Premier League.
“So I think it's really a pleasure to be here, I'm really happy. I think that's the feeling.”
