An enraged man kicked his lover in the face so hard he ripped out her lip piercing, leaving her scarred for life.
Andrew Sharp, 25, has been jailed for 22 months after assaulting partner Lisa Davidson in a fit of anger on April 6 last year.
Perth Sheriff Court heard how after dragging Miss Davidson to the ground, he poured a drink over her head and kicked her, leaving her unconscious.
Despite his claims that another person was responsible for the attack, a jury found Sharp, of Pomarium Street in Perth, Scotland, guilty of the assault which left his victim with "severe injury and permanent disfigurement".
"The jury – notwithstanding your denial – decided that you did assault her," Sheriff William Wood said.
"When she was on the floor you kicked her with such force that she not only lost consciousness, but you tore the stud from her lower lip, which caused severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
"She was your partner at the time and this followed on from an argument in which you were threatening and abusive towards her."
Sharp who admits to having "anger management" issues, also admitted to an unprovoked attack on another man, Wayne Blackwood, on December 12, 2018.
The court heard how he punched Mr Blackwood in the head after waiting for him outside the Ballroom Snooker Club in York Place, also in Perth.
Sheriff Wood said: "That was unprovoked. You attacked him because he looked at you the wrong way."
Solicitor Pauline Cullerton, defending, said: "It is clear there are issues. He admits anger management is an issue.
"In the social work report he scores at the maximum level of risk and it is clear there are areas which need to be addressed."
