Boxing bad boy Adrien Broner arrested for DUI after being stopped by cops in Miami Beach – The Sun

BOXER Adrien Broner was arrested for driving under the influence in Miami Beach on Friday night, according to reports.

The American was stopped by police officers at round 8:45pm local time, and brought back to the station after cops suspected him of being under the influence.

And according to TMZ, bond was set at £815 – but Broner was put on an eight-hour hold behind bars.

The alleged offence is just the latest in a string of accusations faced at the former lightweight and light welterweight champion of the world.

The 30-year-old was twice accused of sexual assault in 2019.

The first of these accusations saw him arrested in Atlanta in February last year for allegedly groping a woman at a shopping mall.

And four months later he was again arrested, this time in Cleveland for throwing himself on a woman at a nightclub and forcing her to kiss him.

The man once dubbed by Floyd Mayweather as "About Billions" was found guilty of the offence in Cleveland, and made to pay around £675,000 in damages to the victim.

Broner has an impressive 33-4 record in his career – but the fading star hasn't won a fight since 2017.

His last victory came in February of that year when he defeated Adrian Granados in the tenth round in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Since then he has lost to Mikey Garcia, before drawing with Jessie Vargas.

And his most recent fight was in January 2019, when he was defeated by veteran superstar Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

Even prior to 2019, this is not the first time that the man nicknamed “The Problem” has been in trouble.

He was arrested in 2008 for allegedly intimidating a witness before charges were later dismissed.

He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in 2013 and was also charged with battery in Miami that same year.

He was arrested on a bench warrant stemming from that case in April and the matter remains unresolved.

Broner was then cited for misdemeanour battery after allegedly choking a Las Vegas waitress three years ago.

Also in 2016 he was charged with aggravated robbery in Hamilton County, Ohio, and accused of robbing a bystander at a bowling alley.
