The horoscope for October 1 is mainly based on the Mercury-Pluto square, which creates challenges in our attitudes and confidence. On top of that, Mars is opposing Chiron, and Mercury is semisextile Venus, which creates more issues. Express.co.uk reveals the horoscope, star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast for October 1.

Mars is opposing Chiron this morning, making things a little bit tricky.

Cafe Astrology said: “This transit can complicate our lives if we can’t see how to pursue our interests and desires directly, straightforwardly.

“We can be defensive and touchy, and resentments or frustrations can surface now.”

Mercury is in retrograde and it’s square to Pluto until Monday.

Cafe Astrology warned: “Watch for self-righteous, superior, or rebellious attitudes when a gentler approach is preferable.

“We can be telling others only what we want them to know.

“There is a tendency to worry and obsess, and there’s a backward focus to today’s thoughts and conversations.

“We should try to avoid forcing our ideas on others and strive to maintain an open mind.

“We can become obsessed with getting our message across and for others to agree with our thoughts.”

Mercury square to Pluto will play to our insecurities and fears and could make us feel we’re not getting all the information we need.

Cafe Astrology explained: “Mental anxiety or troubles could manifest now and compulsive thinking is possible, but with mindfulness, we might engage in in-depth, penetrating communication or think more deeply about a matter.”

Mercury square pluto while Mercury is Retrograde can lead to deep thinking and intense interactions with others.

Astrology King advises: “Take care not to take too seriously extremism or conspiracy theories.

“The more extreme your idea, or the more force you use to convince others, the more criticism and conflict you will meet.

“You may become defensive but it is important not to let your fighting spirit back you into a corner and complicate matters.”

There will also be an urge to dig deeper and investigate the truth of the matter.

The site adds: “There is potential to uncover secrets and mysteries which will deepen your understanding or a matter of your own psychology.”

The Mercury-Pluto square is particularly interesting because Mercury is in Libra and Pluto is in Capricorn.

Astrology.com said: “We experienced this same aspect last week on September 22, so look back to then and similar themes will likely pop up now.

“Power struggles, conflicts, and coercion are all possible near this time. Instead, focus your attention on intense work in solitude.”

As the day advances, we head towards a Venus-Pluto sextile that helps us gain new insight into our relationships, money matters, and comfort or pleasure needs.

Cafe Astrology said: “We take a comfortably strategic approach to these affairs.

“Our feelings are more focused and intensified in a generally pleasant and positive way.

“In fact, we seek depth of emotion and authenticity in our dealings.”

Mercury is also semisextile Venus until Saturday, which Astrology King said will bring a more fun-loving and friendly influence.

The site reads: “This makes it a little easier to relax and unwind.

“A greater ability to express your love and affection helps your intimate relationships benefit from closer bonding.

“Increased charm and a smooth communication style encourage love, friendship and diplomacy.

“It also makes it easier to bring people together and encourage cooperation.

“You could find peaceful settlements to disputes and break down any barriers to progress.”
