DEAR DEIDRE: A COUPLE of years ago, my best mate and I wore female clothing to a fancy-dress party.
Ever since then, I have wanted to start a relationship with him and for us to live as women.

My best friend organised the party outfits, complete with wigs, dresses and high heels. He also wore make-up – and when he applied some on me I got a strange, amazing feeling.
At the party, we got drunk and started kissing, then we went back to mine for sex.
He told me afterwards he was bisexual and a cross-dresser.
I think I am now too, and I want us to live as women all the time. I’m 28 and my friend’s 29. We were both so convincing, but would it be acceptable?
DEIDRE SAYS: Above all, what matters is that you and your friend are comfortable in the gender you identify with. Your first step must be to discuss your feelings in depth with him.
My support pack Worried About Cross-Dressing explains more. Also contact the Beaumont Society, which supports the trans community, at beaumontsociety.org.uk.
Not everybody will be accepting, so be sensible about environments you choose and stay safe.
