A mum was stabbed in the neck as armed raiders burst into her home with her children inside in a 3am attack.
The 50-year-old was taken to hospital but has since been discharged and is under police guard.
The gang also attacked her 40-year-old partner as they trashed the home in Murcroft Road, Stourbridge, early yesterday before fleeing with a small amount of cash.
There is no threat to the wider public.
In an emotional statement, her father said they "stabbed my daughter in the neck". He later told Black Country Live she escaped with minor injuries and the intruders fled with cash. Her two sons were said to have been in the house at the time.
He said: "Scumbags stabbed my daughter in the neck.
"(They) broke into her house, smashed through living room windows and smashed the house up – her TV, the lot.
"They robbed her of her savings. There were three of them. I don't need this at my age."
It was believed the thugs threatened the mum and her partner, forcing them to hand over cash.
Hr father added: "These are very dangerous people who carry knives.
"They stuck a knife in my daughter's head. She was lucky to have escaped with only a minor injury.
"They demanded money and grabbed her and punched her in the face as they left with her few savings. They also beat and kicked her partner.
"There were three in the house and one believed to be outside.
"They smashed her TV up and her units in the house. She is terrified they'll come back."
The victim was understood to have been taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley for treatment.
