After working with cult London skate store M-ZONE earlier this month, Palace has now debuted an unexpected collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, the German automotive giant’s high-performance subsidiary. The partnership builds on Palace’s motorsport influence — which is frequently referenced on designs — and focuses on a race-ready AMG GT3 complete with Palace-designed livery.
The apparel capsule features a new Palace x AMG logo, which adorns everything from GORE-TEX coats and leather varsity jackets to knit beanies and driving gloves. Other graphics includes the Nurburgring racetrack — where the car will race — as well as a saber tooth tiger print that references the animal on the car bonnet, and a “Divine Performance Specialist” slogan.
Launching the collection, Palace said, “We love working with the best in their field and AMG are exactly that. We are so proud to be racing a car in such a truly great motorsport institution as The A.D.A.C. Total 24hrs Race.”
The Palace x AMG collaboration will arrive at Palace stores and web store on June 4, before launching in Japan and China, via WeChat, on June 5. The AMG GT3 will make its debut at the A.D.A.C Total 24hrs Race, which begins on June 3.
