The end is nigh for not only Neighbours’ 35th anniversary celebrations, but also for at least one more beloved character, and a new preview clip suggests that Toadie Rebecci (Ryan Moloney) could be one of those unfortunate mainstays to meet their demise, following villainous Finn Kelly’s (Rob Mills) attack during Tuesday’s late night instalment.
Finn has been determined to remove all those whom he deems an obstacle to he and Elly Conway’s (Jodie Anasta) happiness, and Toadie became one of those obstacles when he discovered that Bea Nilsson (Connie Anderson) hadn’t left the island like Finn had suggested.
In order to eradicate the threat, Finn hit Toadie over the head with a boulder not once but twice, before penetrating a hole in the dingy and sending it out to sea.
Viewers have been wondering whether or not Toadie would be one of the unfortunate mainstays to lose their lives during the celebratory week, but a new preview clip reveals that we haven’t seen the last of the Neighbours icon — but whether or not he’s alive remains to be seen.
With Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) having his suspicions about Finn, he set off in search of Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan). Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) has also noted a change in Finn’s personality, and — during tonight’s episode — she voices her concern about him to her fellow campmates.
Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) reveals that Toadie had previously vouched for Finn’s state of mind, confirming that he’s a good judge of character, but — as they discuss the legend himself — his body can be seen having been washed ashore in a brand new clip.
But with him being unconscious — not to mention sporting an evidently severe head wound — one can’t help but wonder if Toadie is dead?
Elsehwere, Finn sets off to locate Gary in an effort to prevent him from stumbling upon Bea and Harlow in the mine.
Will Gary die?
Or will he expose Finn for who he truly is?
Neighbours Late: Endgame concludes Friday 20 March at 10pm on Channel 5.
