Where 'Love Is Blind's' Carlton And Diamond Stand After That Jaw-Dropping Reunion

  • On the Love Is Blind reunion, Carlton proposed friendship to ex-fiancé Diamond.
  • After their reconciliation, however, the couple is not back together.
  • A friend of the couple told Women’s Health that they aren’t even on speaking terms at the moment.

Netflix’s reality dating show Love is Blind has quickly become America’s obsession ever since it dropped on the streaming service on February 13. The dating experiment asked people to get engaged without ever seeing one another face-to-face…with some super interesting results. (And FYI, season two is rumored to be happening soon.)

Well, the Love Is Blind reunion show just happened, and boy, did tea get spilled (out of golden wine goblet, natch). Besides learning which of the couples were still together, one of the most jaw-dropping moments was when Carlton Horton got down on one knee to propose friendship(???) to his ex-fiancé Diamond Jack—with his original engagement ring.

“I want to get down on one knee and just apologize again at eye level,” Carlton told Diamond. “And I hope that you take this ring again as a significant piece of our friendship and the start of something beautiful without any type of plan.”

“I do accept your apology, and I forgive you,” Diamond replied.

While the ex-couple seemed to patch things up at the reunion and even seemed to be open to the possibility of rekindling their romantic relationship, Diamond and Carlton are currently not in touch. “They are no longer speaking and, at this moment in time, aren’t even cordial,” a friend of the ex-couple told Women’s Health. “They both feel like the other should be protecting them in the media, and neither is because they’re both kinda busy protecting themselves.”

Both Carlton and Diamond brought up the negative attention they received on social media since Love Is Blind premiered and fans watched their breakup in Mexico. “It’s very awkward (being here). It’s obviously something new for me. I’ve gotten death threats. It brings you to a very dark space,” Carlton said at the reunion.

“I’ve been more concerned with Diamond and her backlash. I just want to make it clear that the woman that I fell in love with, I never felt she was biphobic, homophobic,” he continued, referencing that the couple broke off their engagement after Carlton waited to tell Diamond that he’d previously dated men and women. “I just was afraid we would have some issues we’d have to work through.”

Diamond then shared that she’d been going through a similar experience: “I’ve gotten death threats as well.”

According to Carlton’s most recent Instagram, he is “not doing any press/bookings” after a radio interview on March 4. “Thanks for the 3 of y’all who supported me in this. I feel alone and don’t want any of this life anymore. I’m fighting ALONE. And it HURTS,” he captioned the post.

Diamond also posted an Instagram yesterday, referencing a recent radio interview she did about Love Is Blind.

“I had a blast with everyone! I hope you all were able to tune in to 107.5/95.5 because it was lit! 🔥 If not, check out my Live from my interviews! I appreciate you all for giving me a platform to speak on behalf of my experience!” she captioned the post.

If you’re still thirsting for more info on the couples (and ex-couples), you can always stalk the Love Is Blind cast’s Instagrams and wait/hope that Lauren and Cameron get the spinoff show they so totally deserve.
