EastEnders spoilers: Iqra Ahmed horrified as girlfriend Ash shows her scheming side

IQRA Ahmed begins to doubt the foundations of her relationship with girlfriend Ash Panesar when she shows a calculating side.

It won’t be the first secret that Ash has kept from her girlfriend since her arrival last year.

Visit our dedicated EastEnders page for all the latest spoilers, pictures and gossip from Albert Square

EastEnders fans know that Ash has been shrouded in mystery ever since she arrived in the Square last year.

When Iqra came out to her family and introduced them to Ash, she realised that Ash hadn’t introduced her to any of her relatives and seemed to be keeping secrets.

Ash was then revealed as the secret sister of the Panesar brothers when they bulldozed into the Square and sought her out.

It emerged that Iqra had cut them off after they disapproved of an abortion she’d had when she 19.

And Iqra was in for more of a shock when Ash’s mother Suki arrived on the scene and pretended she was dying from cancer.

The matriarch had them all hoodwinked until Jean exposed her for the liar she was in the pub.

Despite all of Ash’s secrets, Iqra is yet to run a mile but her opinions of her girlfriend are thrown into doubt yet again in upcoming scenes.

In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, Vinny gets his party underway and Ash and Iqra attend.

But things quickly spiral out of control when Vinny’s friend, Hari, throws some insults at Ash and Iqra.

It all kicks off when Vinny flies into a rage and attacks Hari as the police arrive.

And things dramatically worsen when a brick is thrown at the police car.

But Ash manages to take control of the situation and sorts everything out.

Later, Iqra admits she’s stunned to see such a new calculating side to Ash and questions whether she knows her at all.

After the dramatic evening, could Ash and Iqra’s relationship be on the rocks?

Fans were left fearing for Iqra’s life when Suki said she “had to go” after meeting her for the first time.

After being pleasant to the girls’ faces, it became clear she didn’t approve of their relationship once they’ve gone.

But maybe Suki won’t have to stick her oar in if Ash and Iqra manage to ruin things by themselves.

EastEnders star opens up about body dysmorphia and anxiety in moving song

EastEnders star Maisie Smith has been regularly keeping fans updated during coronavirus lockdown with Instagram posts – one of our favourites being the very relatable and therapeutic smashing of a cabinet. We can totally relate.

However, she recently made a much more candid and serious post which saw her opening up about the anxiety she is currently feeling before she then sang a beautifully moving song about the body dysmorphia she experienced when she was 13.

Maisie has played Tiffany Butcher in the soap from a very young age and has grown up in the spotlight, both through her acting career and her music.

In the clip, Maisie plays guitar as she sings: ‘When I was little I would look in the mirror, holding in my stomach wishing that I was thinner.

‘Guess I had a case of body dysmorphia – and I still haven’t shaken it off.

‘Things were getting heavy, that’s what the scales told me. Only 13 years old, wiping the tears of my cheeks, it felt like no-one else around me really understood.’

Fellow stars flocked to congratulate Maisie on the brave and inspirational song, with Louisa Lytton telling her co-star telling her that she could ‘listen to her all day.’

James Bye, Milly Zero, Tanya Franks and Danielle Harold also shared their love.

Maisie captioned the post, saying: ‘If you’re feeling particularly down at the moment – don’t worry you’re not alone.

‘It’s a scary time right now and tbh my anxiety is hitting the roof. Been feeling a bit trapped in my thoughts so I wrote this yesterday to heal my mind.

‘I am so thankful to be home and well, I hope we all come out of this together; stronger.’

EastEnders: Does Sharon Mitchell find out how Dennis really died?

SHARON Watts launches at Phil in an explosive showdown next week after he rocks up at Denny’s funeral.

The grieving mother is convinced her ex Phil is responsible for the death of her son after he caused the disastrous boat crash – but is she going to find out how Denny really died?

Does Sharon Mitchell find out how Dennis really died in EastEnders?

EastEnders are yet to confirm whether Sharon discovers that the real culprit is sneaky Ian Beale, and fans will have to tune in to see whether she learns the truth.

Viewers will be aware that Sharon currently thinks that Phil is behind her son’s death.

And the grieving mother is set to launch at him in a rage next week after he returns for Dennis’s funeral

In the upcoming scenes, Sharon loses it when she sees Phil lurking in the shadows, and later flies at him in an explosive showdown.

Things escalate rapidly, and Ian ends up ringing the police in a desperate attempt to stop their feud.

Could Phil end up butchered by Sharon while Ian – the real culprit – walks away scot-free?

Why hasn’t Sharon heard Denny’s voicemail in EastEnders?

EastEnders fans have been waiting with bated breath for Sharon to listen to Denny’s voicemail and discover that Ian is to blame for her son’s death ever since the boat crash.

But viewers were left hanging without an explanation as to why Sharon never received it.

One fan tweeted: “Why hasn’t Sharon checked her voicemail yet?? Denny left her a message telling her what Ian did? #EastEnders.”

Another added: “How has Sharon forgotten her recently dead sons voice and not listened to the incriminating voicemail he left before he died? #EastEnders #GriefHoodie.”

Fans were then confused further when the message ended up on the Arches’ phone, which would explain why Sharon hadn’t listened to it.

One fan said: “How on earth does Dennis’ voicemail to Sharon ends up on the Archers phone?? He didn’t have his own phone with him??”

'is it essential?'

Does anyone know that Ian is Denny’s killer in EastEnders?

Fans were stunned when Dotty was the one to stumble upon Dennis’s voicemail on the Arches’ phone after Shirley told her the business was closing.

In an attempt to get the clients for herself, Dotty started tampering with the phone and was stunned to come across the evidence proving Ian killed Dennis.

Making the most of the twisted situation, Dotty then blackmailed Ian into giving her the keys to the Arches in exchange for her silence.

But with Ian refusing to give Dotty what she wants, could she be about to spill the beans?

EastEnders’ Linda and school teacher Isaac will have an AFFAIR, claim fans – The Sun

EASTENDERS fans believe that Linda Carter and Isaac Baptiste will have an affair.

The school teacher has been helping Linda stand up to parents who were making fun of Linda and her drinking problem and viewers think this could be the start of a romance between the two.

Last night Linda and newcomer Isaac were having a chat in the pub when a group of parents from Walford Primary showed up.

These parents, led by Shelley, had been giving Linda grief as a result of her drinking problems and her son Olly's autism.

They came to cause more trouble in last night's episode, claiming Isaac was giving Linda "preferential treatment" and that she doesn't want someone with a drink problem hearing her child read.

Not letting it get her down, the sassy Linda fired back and told her fellow parent to not take out her frustration on Isaac, and claimed she is "desperate for a bit of drama in her boring, little life."

That prompted a wry smile from the new school teacher and the ashamed Shelley was rendered speechless as she tucked her tail between her legs and left the pub with the other mums.

Fans were happy with Isaac and Linda for supporting each other and think things could get steamy between the two.

One said: "Why can I see Linda and Isaac having an affair?? I’d be hooked tbh #EastEnders."

A second fan posted: "Only Mick is leaving, right? Are we building up to Isaac/Linda? #EastEnders."

A third fan tweeted: "#EastEnders Aw…… It was nice to see Isaac stand up for Linda."

Very soon fans will see Linda behind the bar in the Queen Vic, as she and her husband Mick will no longer be pulling pints in the Queen Vic as they will quit as landlord and landlady.

But due to Linda’s battle with alcoholism, Mick is selling up, meaning some of Walford’s biggest names – including warring ex-couple Phil and Sharon Mitchell – will be competing to takeover while the Carters move elsewhere in Albert Square.

A soap insider said: “With Linda struggling to quit booze it makes sense Mick moves the family out the pub.

“Viewers will be sad to see Danny no longer behind the bar, but that doesn’t mean he won’t return at some point in the future.”

EASTENDERS actor Lee MacDonald has popped the question to his long-term partner Jess.

The 51-year-old shared a sweet snap of the happy couple as he gushed about their upcoming nuptials.

Lee played Zammo McGuire on gritty BBC series Grange Hill from 1982 to 1987 alongside Ant McParlin and Declan Donnelly.

His character became addicted to heroin — and led the cast to a top ten hit with anti-drugs charity single Just Say No.

His tweet to fans about his proposal saw him joke about his infamous catchphrase, as he said: "My partner Jess “JUST SAID YES”! Wedding next."

Lee has been running a locksmiths and key-cutting business since retiring from telly.

After leaving Grange Hill, Lee became a boxer.

He also had small parts in TV shows including The Bill and Birds of a Feather before buying a locksmiths in Wallington, South London.

EastEnders star Kellie Bright says Linda Carter’s alcoholism saves lives

Her character’s tragic descent into alcoholism has gripped the nation.

But today, EastEnders’ Kellie Bright exclusively tells Talk TV how her harrowing portrayal provided a vital lifeline to an 11-year-old boy trapped in an alcoholic home.

Kellie – who plays Queen Vic landlord Danny Dyer’s wife Linda – was delighted to learn of the positive outcome.

The 43-year-old actress says: “Someone at work recently told me about her godson who had been removed from his family home because his mother is an alcoholic.

“He is only about 11 or something but since he has been removed, he has not spoken at all.

“But I was told he has been watching the show and he has actually started to talk again. She told me that story with tears in her eyes.

“This is the impact that the storyline has had. I do believe the soap has the incredible ability to reach millions and millions of people on a level that perhaps others don’t.”

  • EastEnders star Louisa Lytton fears wedding cancellation amid coronavirus panic

In the show, Linda hit the bottle and fell asleep while looking after son Ollie, who then climbed up on to the pub roof.

Kellie, who is mum to Freddie, eight, and three-year-old Gene, adds: “People are sharing their stories and I find it moving when perhaps it is a woman similar to Linda that may have a family.”

There are tough times for EastEnders’ fans as the show is taking a break because of the coronavirus – but it will provide Kellie with a welcome breather.

She admitted she filmed herself drunk to research the plot, and found acting intoxicated rather “daunting”.

“Acting drunk is incredibly difficult,” she says. “You feel very vulnerable as you expose yourself.

“I don’t mean literally, but it is like taking off all of your clothes and running around a bit as you are like, ‘This is me. I’m out here. I am going for it’.

“I tried really hard to keep it grounded and as authentic as possible and let the drama come out of that, really.”

In real life, Kellie is not a big boozer because she has to get up at the crack of dawn with her kids.

“I am not a huge drinker,” she says. “I get up so early in the morning there is no way I can stay up late.

"And also, I think as you get older, the hangovers get worse. I can nurse a glass of wine all evening – I am one of those people.”
