CHER Lloyd has revealed her "head is all over the place" as her dad Darren remains "seriously unwell" in hospital.
The singer, 26, took to Instagram tonight to update fans on her personal struggle, describing it as "really difficult" for her family.
She explained: "I'm sorry I've been quiet on here – I find it difficult to share my personal life at the best of times but I feel I need to let you know what's going on.
"My dad has been seriously unwell and is in hospital.
"This has been really difficult on us and my heads all over the place."
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Cher hasn't been able to visit her dad or her family.
She continued: "I wish I could see him and I wish I could be with my family to support them, especially mum.
"We can't be with dad but I'm so grateful to the doctors and nurses for looking after him. This is such a scary time for everyone. I hope you are keeping safe.
"Whilst I take a bit of time to focus on my family over this difficult period, my team will be taking over key posts for me so we can keep you updated on all things Lost."
Her fans sent their well wishes and said they'd hold her dad in their prayers.
Last month Cher opened up about how afraid she was for her dad's health after he was hospitalised twice during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The singer revealed her dad has pre-exisiting health conditions.
"I think the biggest thing is not being able to see family. I miss my mum and dad a lot. Before the lockdown I spent a lot of time with them," Cher told House of Solo.
The X-Factor star found the ordeal "really scary" and hated not being able to see her dad while he was in hospital.
Cher revealed: "My dad hasn’t been well for a long time and the idea of not being able to be close is a really scary thought.
"Every single time I get the phone call, I ask myself: ‘is this going to be because of his pre-existing condition or is this going to be the call that I’m dreading?’. "
Cher revealed waiting for her dad to get better has "been the hardest thing" about being in lockdown.
She added: "I haven’t actually told anyone about that. I think that like a lot of us Brits, I tend to keep stuff bottled up.
"Especially me, because I’m always thinking: ‘oh I don’t want people to think I’m not strong!’.
"So, that’s been super scary and also for my mum, when she calls, I can hear a change in her voice. So, if we can keep him out of hospital until this is all done with that would be amazing! Fingers crossed!"
The mum-of-one is very close to her parents and even has 'Daddy' tattooed on her hand.
She admitted Facetiming them every day with 23-month-old daughter Delilah.
The star who shot to fame on X-Factor when she was just 16, is in lockdown with her husband Craig Monk and Delilah.
She credited having a small child with helping her get through the tough moments in lockdown.
Cher said: "I feel like the weeks have gone quite quickly and I think that has a lot to do with having a small child.
"My day is non-stop, and she is a very energetic child! So, I don’t get a lot of time to myself, I try to be creative in any way possible, but that’s difficult when you’ve got a kid saying: ‘mummy I’ve done a poo!’."
As a result of being a busy mum in lockdown it took her a lot longer to finish Lost, but she said being creative helped her a lot.
Cher said: "This new song has been great though in terms of having something to direct my efforts towards, because otherwise I feel like I would have dipped, you can feel it sometimes, can’t you?
"Feeling yourself start to worry about the people that you love, so it’s been great to have something I’m working on."
Cher took a break after her album Sorry I’m Late in 2014 but in recent years has returned with the tracks 4U and M.I.A.
