EUROVISION returns tonight for its crucial second semi-final ahead of Saturday's much-anticipated main show.

Fifteen acts performed in this week's first semi-final, with ten reaching Saturday's grand finals and five sadly being eliminated.

The same format is in place tonight, as Eurovision takes to our screens at 8pm on BBC One.

While the United Kingdom is not taking part in tonight's show, a legendary British comedian and actress has been revealed to have a key role in proceedings at the weekend.

Catherine Tate has been picked to read out the UK’s scores at Saturday’s Eurovision final.

    How much is Graham Norton paid and what's his net worth?

    Graham is one of the highest-paid presenters at the BBC.

    Estimates of his net worth vary between £20million and £24million.

    The broadcaster takes home a salary of £729,999 a year from the BBC.

    He hosts The Graham Norton Show and Eurovision, but left his Radio 2 slot in December 2020.

    His production company So Television was sold to ITV in 2012 in a £17million deal and lists Graham as a creditor.

    Meet Denmark's Eurovision 2023 entry

    Reiley is representing Denmark in the 2023 Eurovision Contest.

    Rani Petersen, known as Reiley, is a Faroese singer and social media influencer who is representing Denmark at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

    He was born on November 24, 1997, and is from the Faroe Islands, an archipelago of 18 islands, which is part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

    Reiley was chosen to represent Denmark at Eurovision on February 11, 2023.

    He becomes the first person from the Faroe Islands to represent Denmark at Eurovision.

    How much has the UK paid to hold Eurovision?

    The cost of holding Eurovision is paid for by the country’s host broadcaster – in this case, the BBC.

    The broadcaster has not said exactly how much it will spend, but it is estimated to be between £8-17million.

    The UK government has also pledged some money to cover the costs.

    Many of the countries pay hundreds of thousands to participate in Eurovision.

    However, it remains unknown how much it pays their performers, as this is at the country's discretion.

    In some countries, the entrants are expected to fund their own performances.

    But they can often regain their expenditure from the sales of their songs.

    Who is Mae Muller?

    Born Holly Mae Muller in London on August 26, 1997, Mae Muller is a singer and songwriter, who is representing the UK at Eurovision 2023.

    She has already enjoyed chart success both here and across the Atlantic and worked with some of the biggest stars in UK music including Little Mix, Aitch and Sigala.

    Mae's 2021 single Better Days, which featured Neiked and Polo G, peaked at No. 32 in the UK charts and No 23.

    She has amassed a huge social media following on her popular Instagram handle @@maemuller.

    Mae's big break came in 2007 when she was just nine-years-old and landed a leading role in the music video for Mika's No1 single Grace Kelly.

    She has also already been confirmed to play Brighton and Hove Pride in August 2023, as well as Victorious Festival the same month.

    Where is Saturday's final taking place?

    The Eurovision final will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, and is being held at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

      Who is representing the UK in Eurovision?

      Singer-songwriter Mae Muller is the UK's entrant for Eurovision 2023.

      She picks up the baton from Sam Ryder who stormed to second place in 2022. 

      Mae was born in Kentish Town in London in 1997 – the same year the UK last won the competition – and signed with her manager while she was working in a pub and shot a DIY music video from her dad's bathroom.

      She has already enjoyed chart success both here and across the Atlantic and worked with some of the biggest stars in UK music including Little Mix, Aitch and Sigala.

      Alesha Dixon is a TV presenter and singer who rose to fame as a member of the hip-hop group Mis-Teeq.

      She went on to win Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, and achieved a number-one hit with her single The Boy Does Nothing.

      She has since become a judge on ITV's Britain's Got Talent and has appeared on America's Got Talent: The Champions, Walk the Line, Australia's Got Talent, and has also hosted Alesha's Street Dance Stars, The Greatest Dancer, and Text Santa.

      Speaking about the contest, Dixon said: "Eurovision delivers that excitement, creativity and talent, but on a vast, global scale.

      "I remember watching the Eurovision Song Contest on the TV when I was small, so to be there bringing the Grand Final and semi-finals to people watching across the world is HUGE."

      Julia is a singer that featured in a band, The HARDKISS, which competed to represent Ukraine at Eurovision back in 2016.

      She was also a finalist on Dancing with the Stars in Ukraine and a judge on The X Factor.

      The Ukrainian public elected her to be a judge on Ukraine's Eurovision national selection show (Vidbir).

      Speaking about hosting the show, Sanina said: "I’m so excited to showcase Ukrainian culture and creativity, and to help put on a show to make my country proud.
