Goggleboxs Ellie wont star on show this week after boyfriends horror accident
Ellie Warner won't appear on Gogglebox this week, following her boyfriend Nat Eddleston's major accident.
Nat, 31, was hit by a car in Leeds on Friday night and is said to have sustained a broken neck and collapsed lungs in the incident.
Hairdresser Ellie, 31, who has appeared on the hit Channel 4 show alongside her sister Izzi since 2015, has been by his side in hospital since.
TV insiders say she'll miss filming this week. It's not known if Izzi will appear.
Our insider said: "Ellie has been told to take all the time she needs – everyone on the show is hoping and praying Nat will be ok."
Plumber Nat had been drinking with mates in his local pub in Halton.
He was struck by a white Seat Leon travelling out of the city just after midnight on Saturday. The car, which sustained a smashed windscreen and dented roof in the incident, reportedly continued for about 100 yards before stopping.
A family member, who did not want to be identified, told The Sun on Sunday: “Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage."
"He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him.”
Down to earth Ellie and Izzi are huge favourites with Gogglebox fans, and viewers were saddened to hear about Nat's condition.
Beneath a Valentines Day photo on Instagram of Nat cheekily offering some kebab meat to the camera, fans showered him and Ellie with support.
One wrote: "Sending you lots of love. I had the same injuries 30 years ago in an accident and although it’s a tough road he will get through it.
I’m only saying this so you know people get through it. Sending lots of positive vibes to you xx"
During the height of lockdown in 2020, Nat made a cameo appearance alongside Ellie on their sofa, and was a hit with viewers.
Gogglebox continues at 9pm Friday on Channel 4
