Joe Swash has been taken to hospital for the second time just two days before the Dancing on Ice finale.
The 38-year-old has been wrapped up in bandages all week battling an ear infection, and has since returned to medics to get his ear drained again.
‘Went to the hospital and my ear swelled up again and they had to drain it which was honestly the worst feeling in the world,’ the former EastEnders actor explained during his Instagram stories.
‘But the worst feeling in the world is that I think the bandagehas actually got bigger.’
Thankfully, Joe will still be able to compete in Sunday night’s finale, and won’t be dressed like a mummy.
‘I look like a nun,’ he moaned.
Metro.co.uk caught up with Joe this week, where he assuredhis injuries haven’t set him back in the competition.
‘What happened was we done this thing in disco week, we dida roly-poly and I kept whacking my ear on her boot,’ he told us.
‘It’s like a rugby player when they get cauliflower ear, it swelled up and got infected so last night the paramedic looked at it and went “you’re in trouble here mate, you need to go to the hospital immediately”.’
His partner Stacey Solomon admitted during yesterday’s Loose Women she was keeling over laughing so hard after realising he hadn’t chopped his ear off.
This Sunday, Joe will take on Libby Clegg and bookies’ favourite Perri Kiely, who is performing the most dangerous stunt ever seen on Dancing on Ice.
Dancing on Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
