'Peaky Blinders' Season 6: Netflix Users Likely Have Months to Wait

Peaky Blinders Season 6 has officially arrived for fans who have access to the BBC Network. Thomas Shelby and the Shelby family are back in full swing, and Peaky Blinders Season 6 Episode 2 airs Sunday, March 6, 2022, for fans in the U.K. Unfortunately, fans in the U.S. still have to wait for Netflix to release the episodes. So, when will Peaky Blinders Season 6 be on Netflix? Here’s what’s predicted.

‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 6 will reportedly have 6 episodes total

Peaky Blinders Season 6 Episode 1 brought fans back into Thomas Shelby’s world. At the end of season 5, Tommy’s plan to kill Oswald Mosley was foiled by someone close to him — and fans had plenty of ideas regarding who ruined it. Now, in the first episode of the new season, viewers learn exactly who was behind foiling the plot. Additionally, Aunt Polly Gray’s absence gets addressed, and Tommy seems to align with Michael Gray’s wife, Gina Gray.

With Peaky Blinders Season 6 being the final season, fans anticipate the creators tying up plenty of loose ends. But the end will come sooner than fans realize. According to HITC, the final season has six episodes total. Episode 1, “Black Friday,” aired on Feb. 27, 2022. With five more episodes to air on Sunday nights, we anticipate BBC One airing the season finale on April 3, 2022.

When is ‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 6 on Netflix?

Fans in the U.K. get to enjoy the new season of Thomas Shelby’s antics, but when is Peaky Blinders Season 6 on Netflix?

Netflix has yet to make a formal announcement about streaming the new episodes. PennLive notes fans shouldn’t expect to see Netflix pick up the new season until well into spring 2022 and after the season finale airs on BBC One. With the finale airing on April 3, that means the earliest fans should expect to see the new season on Netflix will be around mid-April 2022 to early May 2022.

According to Evening Standard, the fifth season hit Netflix on April 22. Season 4 hit Netflix in December, and season 3 was available on May 31 of that year, according to Variety. Variety also noted the third season first aired via the BBC Network on May 5. Using this same trajectory, fans can expect the sixth season to stream on Netflix starting around April 29, 2022.

The finale will allegedly be ‘feature-length’

With Peaky Blinders Season 6 taking months to hit Netflix, fans in the U.S. should gear up now for what’s to come. The final season of the show will certainly bring on the twists and turns for Thomas Shelby and the Shelby family. And it seems the show creators have big plans for the finale. Rumors suggest the finale is “feature-length.”

An article posted by a Reddit user notes, ” … this stage of the story will now wrap up over six episodes, including a feature-length finale.” Another user on Reddit said this likely means fans can expect a 90-minute finale.

“Feature-length to the BBC means 90 minutes,” the user posted.
