Sky News's Sarah-Jane Mee gives birth to baby girl – her first child with fiancé Ben Richardson

SKY News anchor Sarah-Jane Mee has given birth to a baby girl.

The newborn is 41-year-old Sarah-Jane's first child with fiancé Ben Richardson.

Writing on Instagram this evening, she said: "Emerging from a baby bubble to share the #goodnews.

"A little girl came into our world this week and stole our hearts. I couldn’t be more in love.

"Already @benray79 daddy’s girl and a super cute sidekick for big brother Teddy. If you are looking for the good in 2020 it’s moments like this 🌈❤️."

The first snap of Sarah-Jane's daughter sees her in a "breaking news" babygrow picked out by her Sky News colleagues.

The sweet outfit reads: "Baby Richardson has arrived".

Denise Van Outen commented on the post: "amazing! Congratulations💗🥂."

While Natalie Pinkham wrote: "Oh those little legs 😍bursting with love for you all ❤️well done Wonder Woman ❤️."

Sarah-Jane previously told Hello! that she was opting for a home birth amid the coronavirus restrictions in hospitals so that Ben could be present.

She said: "I don't want to be walking into hospital on my own to have this baby, so I am considering a home birth.

"I have an amazing midwife and I've been using this incredible hypnobirthing teacher called Katharine Graves, and they have been getting my head together."
