Spoilers: Marlon kicks Ellis out in Emmerdale over Al's murder revelation

Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) has been a shell of his former self in Emmerdale after being sentenced to prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and now that he’s out, he’s come to realise that several villagers had information that could’ve freed him from his captivity — and it was old nemesis Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) who felt his wrath during tonight’s double-bill, as did Ellis (Aaron Chapman).

Marlon was horrified during last night’s episode when he realised that Charity (Emma Atkins) stole Graham’s (Andrew Scarborough) money on the night in which he died, as this information could’ve resulted in him being freed from prison sooner, and yet she kept shtum.

However, it wasn’t the only discovery he made, as Andrea (Anna Nightingale) alerted Rhona (Zoe Henry) about her having discovered that Kim (Claire King) had put out a hit on Graham, and thus Rhona later relayed this information to Marlon.

As a result, Kim was arrested by the police for conspiring to murder Graham, and — during tonight’s double-bill — the plot thickened, as Al was subsequently — not to mention very, very publicly — arrested on the same grounds, after Kim revealed to the police that it was he who she’d paid on the day in question.

Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) later informed Marlon about what had transpired, and he was horrified.

He wasted little time in heading up to Hawksford, and confronted his former nemesis, before delivering a thunderous right hook — knocking Al over his own desk.

Marlon berated him for being so cruel — reminding him that he could’ve gone down for life, and yet Al’s information could’ve got him out of prison.

With Al having revealed all to Ellis seconds before, Marlon was hoping that he would shop his dad to the police, but — when it came down to it — he was ultimately unable to do, and therefore Marlon kicked him out.

Will Marlon see sense and let Elis stay?

Or is this really the end of the road for the pair’s relationship?

Emmerdale continues Friday 6 March at 7pm on ITV.
