Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) world came crashing down in EastEnders when she discovered that son Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau) had tragically lost his life on boards the party boat on the Thames, and she’s struggled to cope as a result, but she makes a big decision in the coming episodes — and it’s one that could very well change her life forever.
With several weeks having passed since the boat tragedy, Sharon is still struggling, and breaks sown when discusses planning Dennis’ funeral with Linda (Kellie Bright).
In an effort to be supportive, Linda offers to babysit Kayden — although she’s later left uncomfortable when she bumps into Karen (Lorraine Stanley) — and accompanies Sharon to register Kayden’s birth.
However, upon their return, Sharon receives a phone call informing her that Dennis’ body is being released — and she’s left broken as a result.
Later in the week, she struggles to cope and therefore she allows Karen to look after Kayden.
Afterwards, she breaks down when discussing Denny’s funeral arrangements, leading Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) to support her once more.
Later, she goes to see Dennis’ body, and she’s left inconsolable as a result — but it forces her to make a huge but heart-wrenching decision.
What has she decided?
