How many episodes are there of Trigonometry?
In total there will be eight episodes of the new series, which will be airing weekly on BBC Two and on BBC iPlayer.
Across the series, the show will explore what happens when a cash-strapped couple welcome a flatmate to move into their spare bedroom.
However, when Ray (played by Ariane Labed) arrives, established couple Gemma (Thalissa Teixeira) and Kieran (Gary Carr) are forced to reexamine their relationship.
This leads the trio to adapt to a new approach to love without the normal constraints accepted by society.
At a recent screening of the series, director Athina Rachel Tsangari spoke about the universality of the new show.
She said: “It’s a story in London but at the same time, it’s a story that could be anywhere in any contemporary city.
“And it was fascinating to me because as a director, as someone who grew up through cinema, London has been such a mythological city.
“It was a great challenge to figure where London is right now – it’s a city of the now.”

This was also what drew many of the cast members to get involved in the series as well.
Gemma star Thalissa Teixeira added: “I loved the timelessness of it I think.
“There has been a few mentions of it being quite a modern relationship and I actually disagree, I think it’s ancient in many ways and so now.”
Starring alongside Thalissa is Gary Carr, who many fans will recognise from his roles in shows like Death in Paradise and The Deuce.
“I just found it, not to sound cliche, to be very human and I could access it immediately.
“Then as we went on with the audition process after meeting Athina, Thalissa and then Ariane I was just super excited to be part of the team.”

The cast is completed by Greek-born French actor Ariane Labed, who has worked with the director before on films like Before Midnight and Attenberg.
Speaking at the screening, Labed added: “I’ve been living in London for eight years and I’m obviously French.
“And I really love the fact that it is something that is not even mentioned in the script, it’s something that is part of London.
“We are many people from all over the world living here.”
Trigonometry begins on March 15 at 10pm on BBC Two.
