Too Hot To Handle season two arrives on Netflix this week (June 23) and fans are keen to see the relationship drama continue. The series will follow a new group of single people as they attempt to build connections based on emotion, rather than sex. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about the episode schedule for season two.

Why is Too Hot To Handle season 2 split into two parts?

Too Hot To Handle is an addictive reality series for Netflix and it follows a group of single men and women who struggle with commitment.

A device known as Lana is on hand to whip them into shape, and she helps them develop meaningful connections instead of flings.

The cast for the second season was announced earlier this year, along with the release dates for the two parts.

The series will be made up of 10 episodes in total, with the first four landing on Netflix on June 23.

Episodes five to 10 will then air at a later date of June 30, so fans will be left on the edge of their seats waiting to find out what happens next.

No explanation has been given as to why the series has been split into two parts this year.

The first season dropped all at the same time, with a special reunion episode airing a few weeks later.

The change could be to do with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, as in January 2021 the series was renewed for two more seasons.

Filming took place during the pandemic on the Turks and Caicos Islands, instead of season one’s Mexico backdrop.

This year, producers have been working under the covert title of Parties In Paradise, with each contestant believing they were taking part in a whole new reality show.

This was to make sure the new format remained a surprise to the contestants right up to the last moment.

This may also explain why Netflix has kept the show’s future under wraps, as they do not want to give too much away.

As always, the premise will remain the same –  the contestants are forbidden from kissing, touching, having sex and performing acts of self-gratification.

Every time they slip up, they will lose part of their $100,000 (£72,000) prize pot and their mistakes impact the whole group.

This season will see some huge changes in the rules, including how the prize pot is split between the singletons.

This season is full of drama as a number of love triangles develop from the very first day.

Contestants taking part this year include:

Melinda Melrose

Marvin Anthony

Carly Lawrence

Nathan Webb

Larissa Trownson

Emily Miller

Cam Holmes

Chase DeMoor

Peter Vigilante

Kayla Jean

As each potential couple starts to form, Lana will put them through a series of experiments to test their resilience.

There will be plenty of rulebreaking this year as the single men and women have been in lockdown up to this point.

Will the temptation be too much? Or will they put the prize pot before their urges?

Fans have called the show their guilty pleasure, but they will have to wait a few days to see how the series end this year.

Too Hot To Handle airs on Netflix from June 23.
