Coronavirus infection toll reaches 2MILLION worldwide with more than 120,000 dead – The Sun

CORONAVIRUS cases topped 2 million worldwide Monday as the deadly bug killed over 120,000 people.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused global devastated since it first emerged in China, and rapidly spread, resulting in the US becoming the worst affected country in the world.



The US now has over 581,000 of the total cases and over 21,600 Americans have died from the deadly virus of April 13.

America has now overtaken hard-hit European countries like Spain (170,000-plus cases); Italy (159,000-plus cases); France (137,000-plus cases); Germany (130,000-plus cases), and the UK (89,000-plus cases) months after the killer bug was reported in Wuhan.

China now ranks seventh with some 83,000 cases versus the US which has topped the list of badly affected countries for days.

New York became the US epicenter of the deadly bug after the first infected patient was reported in Washington state on January 20.
