Britney Spears’s first husband Jason Alexander will be whisked up to Northern California to face charges there as soon as he is freed after trying to crash the singer’s wedding, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Police told DailyMail.com the charges in Napa County, west of Sacramento, relate to a 2015 incident where Alexander allegedly stole a $2,000 tennis bracelet and pawned it for $180.

Alexander, 40, was collared by police on Thursday after he stormed ex-wife Spears’s luxury Thousand Oaks home hours before she married Sam Ashgari, 28, there.

He has since been charged with two counts of battery, one of vandalism and one of trespassing and is being held in the Ventura County Jail until his arraignment on Monday.

The pop star’s wedding day Thursday was dramatically interrupted by ex, who showed up trying to crash the event and tussled with security guards before being arrested

Bond for that incident has been set at $22,500 but sources from the Napa County Sherriff’s Office told DailyMail.com that Alexander will be held until he can be released into their custody.

The Napa warrant concerns a 2015 incident that saw Alexander allegedly steal a sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet from a woman who had rented him a room.

Police said she noticed it was missing a month after Alexander moved in in August 2015 and confronted him about it.

He initially denied it but in November 2015, he admitted to stealing the bracelet and pawning it at a Napa pawn shop for $180.

Alexander said he was unable to get it back and offered to replace it with a different bracelet but the victim turned it down and reported him to police in February 2016.

By then, Alexander had left the area but police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges that included grand theft and buying or receiving stolen property, and they were able to return the bracelet to the victim.

Alexander’s latest arrest came after he snuck onto Spears’s Lake Sherman, California, property via a public hiking trail at the back before confronting security, demanding to see Spears, and searching the rose-filled marquee where the wedding took place.

In his livestream of the incident, he is also heard screaming: ‘I’m Jason Alexander! The first husband! I’m here to crash the wedding!’

Alexander also shouted: ‘She’s my first wife, she’s my only wife’. Security was then seen wrestling him to the ground before cops arrived.

The drama happened on Britney’s own property in Thousand Oaks, California hours before her wedding was due to start

He can be seen in aerial footage being escorted off the property. He has been charged with two counts of battery, one of vandalism and one of trespassing

Alexander married childhood friend Spears in Las Vegas in 2004 before the union was annulled 55 hours later. His latest arrest is the fourth in 13 months

Three Ventura County Sheriff vehicles were then seen descending on Spears’ $7million estate, along with a team from the Ventura County Fire Department.

Records show Alexander’s appearance was listed as a medical emergency by the Fire Department who were called in at 2.14pm by cops.

Fire Department records also show that cops initially believed shots had been fired before canceling the medical callout after realizing Alexander was unarmed.

An onlooker told DailyMail.com of the moment deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene along with a fire truck shortly after 2pm on Thursday.

They said: ‘It all happened very fast. Three cop cars just showed up and went screeching up her drive.

‘We were all trying to figure out what’s going on, especially after the fire truck left.’

In a statement released ahead of Spears’s lavish nuptials, her lawyer Matthew Rosengart said he wanted to see Alexander prosecuted ‘to the fullest extent of the law.’

‘Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,’ he said.

The newlywed popstar, 40, was seen smiling from ear-to-ear in newly-released wedding photos, which reveal all the details of her one-of-a-kind gown, from the off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline to her funky white choker necklace

Sealed with a kiss! After the ceremony, the blissful newlyweds were pictured sharing a smooch on the balcony, which had also been covered in pink florals to match the theme of the day

The couple wed in a stunning pink tent on the grounds of the popstar’s $7million California mansion; the venue was decked out with beautiful florals and featured several chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, while guests sat in wooden pews

Rosengart added: ‘I am personally working with the sheriff’s department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.’

Despite the drama outdoors, inside the venue the star-studded wedding of Spears and long-term partner Sam Asghari later went off without a hitch, with celebrities including Madonna, Paris Hilton and Donatella Versace joining festivities which took place at Britney’s 12,464-square-foot, five-bedroom, eight-bath villa.

The happy couple were spotted leaving their wedding on Thursday night in a white ‘Just Married’ Rolls Royce. Celebrity guests seemed unfazed by the drama as they were chauffeured home.

Alexander married childhood friend Spears, 40, in a drunken Las Vegas ceremony in 2004, only for the union to be annulled 55 hours later.

He was easily able to scale a fence, descend a rocky hillside and slip inside the wedding venue, all-the-while telling security exactly who he was, and why he was there – just hours before the fairytale ceremony got underway.

A photographer captured the moment Alexander was apprehended by security and pinned to the ground.

Alexander claimed that Britney had ‘invited him’ to the event and that she was his ‘first and only wife’ before he proudly stated he was there to ‘crash the wedding’.

Security appeared to have been beefed up following the scare earlier on Thursday afternoon

After the drama, it was business as usual for Britney Spears wedding preparations. Seen are catering vans arriving and a lavish carriage complete with white horse

At one point, he managed to make it inside the wedding tent which was decorated in pink roses, before he was once again confronted by armed security.

He was swiftly tackled to the ground and escorted off the premises with the Ventura County Sheriff having been summoned.

Overhead photos show at least six patrol cars in attendance as Alexander’s antics demonstrated a stunning breach in security surrounding the star.

Alexander has a lengthy record of run-ins with the police, with his latest arrest being his fourth in 13 months.

Prior to Thursday, Alexander had last been arrested for stalking an unidentified woman in December 2021.

Last August, he was collared for breaking security protocols at an airport and in January 2021, he was nabbed for a DUI.

Donald ‘Reg’ Jones (1996–1998)

Britney got her first official boyfriend, Reg Jones, when she was only 14 and he was 17. In Lynne Spears’s 2008 memoir Through The Storm, Britney’s mother claimed that it was actually Jones to whom her daughter lost her virginity, not her future boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

In 2001, Jones revealed two handwritten letters the singer had penned him while she was in New York and he was back home in Mississippi, including one in which she broke up with him. The notes were put up for action last year with a presale estimate of $4,000 to $6,000.

Justin Timberlake (1998–2002)

Britney’s first serious relationship was with her former Mickey Mouse Club costar Justin Timberlake, who was then part of NSYNC.

Following their 2002 split, the singer publicly blamed Spears for their break up and used his ‘heartbreak’ to promote his music. A lookalike actress was also used to represent Spears in his video for Cry Me A River, which fans took to be a breakup song about their relationship.

Timberlake later wrote in an open apology that he was ‘deeply sorry’ and would ‘take accountability’ admitting that he had ‘failed’ her, after their relationship came under fresh scrutiny following the release of documentaries looking into Spears’ conservatorship.

Wade Robson (2002)

The Toxic singer reportedly moved on in the wake of her split from Timberlake with choreographer Wade Robson, who worked for both her and Justin’s group NSYNC.

Although it was never been confirmed by any of the trio, at the time it was rumored that Wade was the real reason for the Justin and Britney split.

Yet their relationship was short lived and Britney and Wade had split within the year.

The couple spent time together when working on songs for Britney’s new album.

‘It just became a fiasco of madness,’ Durst told MTV of the alleged breakup. ‘[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar.’

There was clearly something going on between Britney and actor Colin Farrell in 2003, when they were seen kissing at the premiere of his film The Recruit, where they also walked the red carpet.

However, he shrugged the affectionate display off and said he was ‘just a 26-year-old guy who’s single and having a good time.’

While their fling may only have lasted a week, Farrell memorialized their relationship by sending Spears a shirt that read: ‘I slept with Colin Farrell and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.’

Short, who subsequently starred on ABC drama series Scandal, later claimed that he overheard Spears’ parents Lynne and Jamie Spears refer to him by the N-word when she was on speaker phone with them, though he didn’t specify who said it and they both denied using the word.

Columbus claimed to have only had sex with her once, and he claimed he was fired after he failed to reciprocate her affections.

Their marriage was annulled 55 hours later, which Alexander later claimed was forced by Britney’s mother, Lynne, and Britney’s management. Following the annulment, Spears said in an interview: ‘It was me being silly, being rebellious.’

The songstress’ next relationship also resulted in a marriage.

Britney and Kevin Federline, a backup dancer, would go on to share her two sons: Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15. The couple divorced in 2007, and it was her struggles with custody that factored into the creation of her conservatorship.

In January 2008, she locked herself in a bathroom with the children when it was time to return them to their father. The police were subsequently called, and Spears was put on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

Spears hit the dating scene quickly following her divorce when she got together with the music producer J. R. Rotem, who produced her song Everybody.

Following their fling, Rotem shocked with a graphic kiss and tell interview, crudely announcing ‘I f**ked Britney wheelbarrow style – It was tractor style.’

Reflecting on their union, Rotem later said: ‘It was kind of a stupid phase I was going through, where I wouldn’t say that I was being a bad person but I would say that I was being not very genuine to who I am and what it is that I’m supposed to do.’

Passing through: Britney hit the dating scene quickly following her divorce when she got together with the music producer J. R. Rotem, though the relationship appears to have been short-lived

Their breakup was described as ‘amicable,’ and Cohen later said of their relationship: ‘By the time I met Britney she was burnt out. She knew she had been drinking and partying as a way to try to banish the bad stuff from her life.

‘Far from the trashy drunk, I saw a very shy, sweet girl who was just desperately sad about what had happened with her marriage.’

Ghalib claimed in 2008 that he had a sex tape featuring Spears in an apparent bid to shop it around, though he later claimed his statements were fabricated, according to The Daily Beast.

Britney’s father Jamie successful won a restraining order to keep Ghalib away from his daughter by claiming that the photographer alerted paparazzi to Britney’s whereabouts and then got a fee from them.

In 2021, rumors spread claiming the two had secretly married and then divorce in 2012 after records showing her conservatorship put a lawyer on retainer shortly before their 2013 breakup.

However, Trawick denied that they were ever married, and no marriage license — or divorce — was ever filed.
