A knife-wielding man slashed an individual at a park in Hell’s Kitchen Saturday afternoon and then fled, cops said.
Police said the ugly episode occurred at 1:40 p.m. when the unhinged suspect “slashed another park occupant” at McCaffrey Playground near Times Square.
The suspect — described as about 40-to-50-years old, wearing a gray shirt and blue pants — then fled eastbound out of the park, located on West 43rd Street, between 8th and 9th avenues, an NYPD spokesman said.
No information was immediately available regarding the victim, but cops said the individual’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
